SAMBA, Dec 1: Apni Party Provincial President Jammu and former Minister, S Manjit Singh has accused BJP of ditching the daily wagers and their families in Jammu and Kashmir in the name of regularization.
Addressing a monthly meeting of party leaders and workers here at Vijaypur, S. Manjit Singh said that over 61000 daily wagers have been working in different Govt departments from the last over two decades but they were not regularized despite assurances and decisions of the previous Govts.
“It was BJP which had also assured them their regularization but ditched the daily wagers and thousands of their family members by ignoring their genuine demand,” he said.
He said that the Apni Party believes that the daily wagers have faced discrimination for years and they should be regularized, and their pending wages be released on a regular basis. “If we form next Govt in J&K, we will regularize the daily wagers within 60 days after the formation of the Govt,” he said.

“Rs 25 lakhs for each refugee family of J&K was sanctioned and released but only Rs 5.5 lakhs was released that too has not been received by all the refugee families. The refugees should be given their pending dues so that it can help them,” he said.
