Will not pay rent if power cuts not stopped: Dimple

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 7: President, Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM), Sunil Dimple has warned the State Government that if power cuts were not stopped, the people would stop paying the power rent.
He said that Govt is committed to provide uninterrupted power supply to the 100% metered areas but it failed to do so.
Dimple alleged that in spite of high level meeting chaired by PDD Minister Vikar Rasool no improvement was seen in power supply and the people are still facing 12 to 15 hours power cuts in the Jammu region, city and particularly in the West Assembly constituency.
He demanded to install a fresh new receiving station of 50 MVA at Janipur to overcome the load problem and the curtailment of power cuts.
Dimple said things are becoming intolerable and if it will remain so we will be bound to intensify the Jan Andolan against the PDD Ministry.
