LONDON, May 10: Actor Will Ferrell’s sprawling miniseries “The Spoils Before Dying” will make its long-anticipated debut this summer.
Two half-hour episodes will present the full story of jazz musician-turned-private investigator Rock Banyon (Michael Kenneth Williams), reported Digital Spy.
Rock Banyon ends up in the middle of a murder investigation set against the 1950s Los Angeles jazz scene, when his former lover turns up dead.
“The Spoils Before Dying” is told through the format of a long-shelved television series based on an acclaimed book by reclusive author Eric Jonrosh (Ferrell).
Joining Michael Kenneth Williams are comedy veterans Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Tim Meadows, Andy Daly and Tim Meadows, as well as international stars Michael Sheen, Emily Ratajkowski, Berenice Marlohe, Haley Joel Osment and Val Kilmer.
“The Spoils Before Dying” has been written by The Spoils of Babylon’s Matt Piedmont and Andrew Steele, and is produced by Ferrell and Anchorman director Adam McKay. (PTI)
