NEW DELHI, Mar 9: Wheat prices declined by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to reduced offtake by flour mills against ample stocks position.
However, other grains including rice basmati moved in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged at the last levels.
Traders said, reduced offtake by flour mills against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions, mainly led to the decline in wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) fell by Rs 10 to Rs 1,840-1,850 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 1,850-1,880 per 90 kg.
