Wheat drops on ample stocks

NEW DELHI, Nov 26:  Wheat prices drifted lower by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on adequate stocks position due to improved supplies.
Maize also declined on muted demand.
Traders attributed the fall in wheat prices to sufficient stocks position on improved supplies.
In the national capital, wheat MP (desi) and wheat dara (for mills) moved down by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,800-3,335 and Rs 2,200-2,205 per quintal, respectively. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by Rs 100 to Rs 2,175-2,190 per 90 kg.
Atta flour mills, maida and sooji also settled lower at Rs 1,175-1,180, Rs 1,240-1,250 and Rs 1,300-1,310 from previous levels of Rs 1,210-1,220, Rs 1,310-1,320 and Rs 1,370-1,380 per 50 kg, respectively in line with the weak trend.
Other bold grains, maize too drifted lower by Rs 50 to Rs 1,630-1,640 per quintal.
