Weeklong celebrations of annual Bhairav Ashtami concludes

JAMMU, Nov 30: With the culmination of weeklong celebrations of annual Bhairav Ashtami the organisers have demanded that the tourism authorities should play their role to highlight and develop the shrine of ancient Bhairav Baba temple.
Addressing a press conference here today head priest of Shri Bhairav Baba temple, Pandit Rumil Sharma said that Tourism Department should popularise the temple as it has deep cultural links with the public of Jammu.
“Many ailments are cured by just wearing the sacred thread of Bhairav Baba and devotees even from other States visit the shrine to pay obeisance here,” he told reporters.
He said that as a head priest he along with his team of volunteers did what they could but the Tourism Department should also play its role in making the public at large aware about the popular shrine of Jammu.
Sharma also thanked the authorities like PDD, JMC, PWD etc for ensuring whole hearted support in successfully accomplishing the annual celebrations of Bhairav Ashtami.
