JAMMU, Mar 30: Week long multi-media exhibition “Vikas Ki Nayi Udaan” commenced at Kala Kendra Jammu, showcasing the initiatives of the NDA Government at the centre with a special focus on the Budget-2016.
The exhibition was a part of the country wide campaign (excluding election-bound states) being organized by Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India to inform the public about the programmes and policies of the Union Government.
Rajesh Gupta, MLA Jammu East was the chief guest on the occasion, who inaugurating the event.
While speaking, Gupta said that NDA Government at the centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated a number of schemes for the welfare of general public specially farmers and weaker sections of the society. The message should be spread and benefit should reach to the needy, he said, adding that these awareness camps and exhibitions play a vital role in disseminating the massage.
General public, Anganwadi workers and social workers in large numbers were present on the occasion.
More than 60 photo panels along with LED/ Plasma Screen are on display. These photo panels and micro films highlighted different activities of Central Government.
Similar content will be displayed in the Exhibition at Udhampur to be opened in the second week of April, 2016.
The week long exhibition is also supported by Sister Media Units of Ministry of Information, and Broadcasting, Government of India viz Doordarshan News, All India Radio, Directorate of Field Exhibition, Song and Drama Division and Press Information Bureau, J&K Region.
