‘We The Human Forum’ helps poor family

JAMMU, Oct 22: ‘We The Human Forum for Nature and Mankind’ team comprising Mohinder Kumar and Sana reached village Langotian, Miran Sahib and met members of a poor family living a miserable life.
A handout stated that the family comprised three children, a mentally retarded mother, bed ridden diabetic grandparents and ailing grandfather.
The family was surviving on a meager pension of Rs. 6000 drawn by the chronically ill grandfather and the eldest child, a daughter is studying in BA Part-1.
The visiting team handed over a sewing machine, two blankets, diapers, sanitary napkins and COVID-19 hygiene kits to the eldest daughter as an interim assistance.
K.Y.S Manhas, Forum Chairman said the government needs to device some mechanism to help such families.
He also said that the concerned authorities should identify such families to help them.
The handout further stated that ‘We The Human Forum’ has been organizing COVID-19 relief activities since March 2020 with the help of its 100 members wherein Pooja Gupta, a leading woman entrepreneur owning Himalayan Bio Organic Pvt Ltd having famous NIMBARK brand; Rajan Vohra, Trustee Swasthya Evam Shiksha Charitable Trust New Delhi and others are contributing to the Forum for help to the needy people.
