‘We Care Welfare Society’ organizes medical camp

JAMMU, Feb 25: A free eye and general health check-up camp was organised at village Kotmaira, Khour block by ‘We Care Welfare Society’ in association with Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla.
Around 450 patients from Kotmaira and surrounding villages turned up for eye and medical checkup during the camp where medicines were provided to them after consultation by doctors.
Around 90 patients were screened for cataract surgery and the Society will conduct their operations at Vivekananda Hospital Jammu.
Also 70 spectacles were distributed to the needy patients free of cost.
There were also arrangements for free blood sugar and BP tests of the patients.
Dr Pankaj Singh, Senior Physician provided his services in the camp.
A team from Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Hospital led by Ophthalmologist, Dr. Debapriya Chaterjee; Rakesh Sharma, Sr Optometrist; Shakuntala Devi, ANM; Anita Tak, NO and Ravinder Kangla, Lab Tech provided their services in the camp.
Prof M Sadiq Nargal, Chairman ‘We Care Welfare Society’ delivered vote of thanks.
Management Committee members of Vivekananda Charitable Hospital including General Secretary, Atma Saroop Gupta, Amar Chand Gupta and Registrar, Dr Romesh Gupta also participated in the camp along with prominent members of the Society including it’s President, Dr R.K Gupta; General Secretary, Rajinder Gupta; Treasurer, Kuldip Uppal, Organising Secretary, Vaibhav Sharma and others.
