AKHNOOR, Apr 13: A free medical camp organized by the We Care Welfare Society (WCWS) was today held at Baba Sehaj Nath Ji Sthan, Garh (Sohal), Tehsil Akhnoor.
The camp provided comprehensive health check-ups covering Eye, ENT, Orthopedic and General Health issues.
A team of renowned doctors including, Dr Arvind Sharma, MD (Medicine), Dr Parveen Yograj, senior General Physician & former Superintendent, Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Dr Uzma Chowdhary, Ophthalmologist from Sood Eye Centre (a unit of Agarwal), Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and Dr Surinder Kumar, Orthopaedic Specialist, extended their expert services.
The camp offered free diagnostic services such as ECG, Blood Pressure (BP), Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Blood Sugar Testing and Eye Testing using advanced equipment.
Around 300 patients were examined during the camp, free medicines and spectacles were distributed among 30 patients, who were screened for cataract surgery.
Dr R K Gupta, president, WCWS, in his address expressed heartfelt gratitude to Raj Kumar Gupta (Raju Ganesh Haar Wale) for providing essential facilities at the venue.
He also appreciated the efforts of Pooja Jamwal, Sarpanch and Verinder Singh (Sonu) for making the necessary arrangements.
Sudershan Gupta, vice president, extended thanks to the doctors, paramedical staff and members of the organization for making the camp a grand success.
Rajinder Gupta, General Secretary, appreciated the team’s dedication, commitment and financial support which contributed significantly to the success of the camp.
Later, all participating doctors were presented with WCWS mementos as a token of appreciation for their valuable services.
