JAMMU, Aug 19: Due to incessant rains coupled and erratic behaviour of river Tawi coupled with frequent power interruption at various pumping stations, the water supply to several areas will remain affected from tomorrow to August 23, 2019.
The areas being fed from (a) Manda, Old City, Panjtirthi, Jhullaka Mohallah, Jain Bazaar, Mastgarh, Rehari, Ambphalla, Ustad Mohallah, (b) CPS Samashian i.e Gujjar Nagar, Chand Nagar, Talab Khatikan, Dalpatian Mohallah (c) Company Bagh i.e Purani Mandi, Mohallah Malhotra, Rajinder Bazaar, Kanak Mandi, Raghunath Bazaar, Hari Market, Shalamar Road, Parade (d) CPS Muthi i.e Roop Nagar, Durga Nagar, Bantalab, Keran, Chinore and CPS Medical i.e Shakti Nagar, Shiv Nagar, Talab Tillo, Bakshi Nagar, Reshamgarh and Rajpura will remain affected.
Executive Engineer PHE City Division No 1 Jammu has requested the public to use water judiciously.
