JAMMU, Dec 19: Due to damaged rising mains 500 mm and 600 mm dia from Sittli to Manda, the water supply to Panjthirthi, Pacci Dakki, Dounthly, Chowgan Slathia, Rehari, Subash Nagar, Sarwal, Pacca Tallab and New Plot areas being fed from Manda will remain affected on December 20.
“Also due to damage to rising main 500 mm dia from Sittli to Lohar, the water supplied to Janipur, Lakkar Mandi, Patoli, Pamposh Colony, Basant Nagar, Dhok Ploura and Buta Nagar areas being fed from Lohar will remain partially affected tomorrow,” said a spokesperson of Jal Shakti Department and advised the public to use water judiciously.
He further added that water supplies in areas such as Durga Nagar, Bantalab and surrounding localities viz. Gurha Brahmana, Patoli Brahmana, Muthi Gaon, Vinayak Nagar, Chandan Vihar, Dharmal, Barnai, Dream City, Lale da Bagh, Om Nagar, Eishwar Nagar, Pata Bhori, Thomal, part of Tallab Tillo, Bharat Nagar, part of Lower Roopnagar, Lower Muthi and Lower Barnai shall also remain affected due to power failure at feeding pumping stations.
