Waqf forms district committees for controlling shrines, Jamias

Srinagar, Jan 18: As the J&K Waqf Board orders taking over the administrative control of notified Waqf properties across J&K, it today put out the details of the members of 10 district-level committees which have been formed across Kashmir to look into the “grievance” and “representations” received from the general public.
For district Srinagar, the members of the DLC include, Mohammad Ashiq Wani (Estates Officer, R&E wing), Syed Tajamul Islam, Clinical Instructor, BHCNMT, Hilal Ahmad Bhat, Lecturer, SAWPS, Zubair Ahmad Mir, Teacher, SAWPS, Imran Habib Shah, Teacher, SAWPS, Bilal Ahmad Parra, Lecturer, SAWPS and Showkat Ahmad Rather, Teacher, Qalamdanpora School.
For district Anantnag, the members include, Ashiq Hussain Bhat, I/C, Administrator Aishmuqam, Suhail Ahmad Chadoo, Lecturer, Hanfia Wakf Hr Sec, Anantnag, Sabzar Ahmad Thokar, Lecturer, Hanfia Wakf Hr Sec, Anantnag, Bhat Aziz Ahmad, Teacher, Hanfia Wakf Hr Sec, Anantnag and Nisar Ahmad Khuchay, Teacher, Hanfia Wakf Hr Sec, Anantnag.
For Pulwama, the committee members include Fayaz Ahmad Dar, I/C Administrator, Kakapora, Nazir Ahmad Ahangar, Teacher, Gousia Waqf High School, Ovais Ahmad Magray, Teacher, Gousia High School, Showkat Ahmad Kumar, Teacher, Gousia Waqf High School, Tariq Hussain Bhat, Teacher, Alamdar School, Char-e-Sharief, Syed Lateef Ahmad, Teacher, Alamdar School and Aklaq Ahmad Bajad, Teacher, Alamdar School, Char-e-Sharief.

In Bandipora, the committee will have Sajad Hussain Bhat I/C Administrator Ahami Sharief, Riyaz Ahmad Wani, Teacher, Aham Sharief School, Bandipora, Nazir, Ahmad Reshi, Teacher, Aham Sharief School, Bandipora, Abdul Lateef Khan, Teacher, Aham Sharief School, Bandipora, Saif Ud Din Shah, Teacher, Aham Sharief School, Bandipora and Nazir Ahmad Rather, Teacher, Qalamdanpora School, Srinagar as it members.
Similarly, for Kupwara, the DLC will have Bashir Ahmad Hajam, I/C Administrator Drugmulla Kupwara, Altaf Husain Baba, Teacher, Baba Shukur-ud-Din Waqf High School, Watlab, Nazir Ahmad Shah, Teacher, Baba Shukur-Ud-Din School, Watlab and Nazir Ahmad Reshi, Teacher, Baba Shukur-Ud-Din School, Watlab as its members.
For Kulgam, the committee members include Arshid Hussain Wani, I/C Administrator, Quamoh, Manzoor Ahmad Dar, Teacher, Hanfia Wakf Hr Sec, Anantnag, Mohammad Hussain Dar, Teacher, Hanfia Wakf Hr Sec, Anantnag and Syed Moin Ahmad, Teacher, Hanfia Wakf Hr Sec, Anantnag.
Lastly, for Shopian, the committee members include Arshid Hussain Wani I/C Administrator, Qaimoh, Mohd. Yousuf Dar, Teacher, Gousia Waqf High School, Kakapora and Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Teacher, Gousia Waqf High School, Kakapora.
The Committees have been mandated to investigate the grievances and suggestions made by the general public under their terms of reference, and they will provide in-depth reports on the resources, finances, and administrative operations of such properties.
The newly established committees will also compile a list of all significant Shrines, Jamia Masjids, Khankahs, and related properties in the district that have received Waqf notification but have not yet been taken over by the Board, along with information on their assets, liabilities, income, and personnel.
These committees will also create a separate list of Shrines, Jamia Masjids, Khankahs, and related properties that have not yet been reported by the Waqf but should be placed under administrative control as a result of public suggestions and complaints.
