Wani vows to continue fight for cause of Doda

DODA, Nov 14: Minister for R&B Abdul Majid Wani has vowed to continue his fight for cause of Doda people and said that he will continue to protect interests of his people. He said being their representative, it was his duty to fight for their due share and rights.
Addressing a large public meeting in premises of historical ancient temple at village Dhar, Wani said that, during last one decade, he has successfully projected, in right perspective, needs and demands of people of whole Chenab region. These were his efforts that people of Doda constituency, in particular, are fully empowered today and floodgates of basic civic amenities as well as civil infrastructures stand opened for them. He said Doda constituency people have witnessed, during this last one decade, creation of new administrative units, best health & medical facilities, drastic increase in literacy rate as well as road connectivity.
Hundreds of new schools including new higher secondary schools opened up in far-flung areas. Doda constituency is being brought into national tourist map with sanctioning of new tourism development authorities as well as proposed tunnels linking Sudh-Mahadev with Goha Marmat and Dessa with Capran. Hundreds of small as well as major bridges have been constructed and dedicated to people of Doda during last one decade. People of Doda constituency have entered into a new era of peace and prosperity.
Majid Wani, further, said that it was his sincere efforts that thousands of NYC volunteers were got permanently adjusted in schools. Hundreds of new schools, health centres, sheep centres, new major road projects sanctioned under CRF, Batote Kishtwar Sinthan Anantnag National Highways stands transferred to the State R&B Department, Gundna block selected as a pilot project in UMEED under National Livelihood Mission for Empowerment of Women, Medical college sanctioned for Doda, and many new villages in Doda constituency have been brought under ambit of socially and educationally backward classed.
Among other prominent citizens accompanying Abdul Majid Wani were Girdhari Lal, Chet Ram, Mohd. Hussain Khan, Master Jagdish, Bhag Chand, Satish Kumar, Adil Karim Wani, Najib-Ur-Fani, Vishal Bhagat, Irshad Ahmad Misger, Suraj Parkash, Hakim Manzur, Ashpaq Ahmad, Amir Karim, Zahir Abbaas, Faiyaz Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhikhriyan, Jahanzaib and Mohd Shafi Magray.
