Wani seeks public support on development agenda

DODA, Nov 9: Minister for R&B  Abdul Majid Wani has sought public support on the development plank of the Congress party.
Addressing  public meetings at Jatheli, Dongru, Gulmuna and Bhattal in Doda constituency, Mr Wani said that Congress party especially under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad has ensured massive development in the State. Special emphasis was laid on the development of Chenab Valley region. He said that Congress believes in peace and development and never thrived on hollow slogans.
Giving more details of achievements as MLA Doda since year 2002, Mr Wani asked people to elect him to the Assembly so that people see a new era of development and prosperity when all under construction projects are completed in near future. During last one decade, because of his performance as well as right projection of demands,  people of Doda constituency could witness remarkable achievements with drastic increase in literacy rate, road connectivity and other civic infrastructural facilities like creation of a new district, tehsils, niabats, blocks, sanctioning of Medical College, new district hospital building, trauma hospitals, new health centres, sports infrastructure,  number of major water supply scheme projects and sanctioning of Chenani Sudh Mahadev Doda Chapran road as an alternative national highway.
Wani further assured people to take serious measures, in near future, to unleash vast employment opportunities, establish industrial centres up to tehsil level with setting up of few heavy industries in Doda constituency, creation of large scale tourism infrastructure, improving power infrastructure and regularisation of daily wagers.
