JAMMU, Nov 9: Daman Bhasin, PDP candidate from Jammu West Assembly constituency, today said that he would do everything possible for providing reservation to Christians and Balmiki Samaj.
He was addressing a public meeting, organized by Salman Bhatti an upcoming youth leader of PDP and district president of PDP Youth Labour Cell district Jammu, at Dogra Hall, here today.
Daman Bhasin said that PDP has special programmes and policies for the downtrodden sections and especially for Christian community, which had been ignored by every Government in past. Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has authorized me for making any sort of plan for Christian community as keeping in view that they had been ignored and no justice had been given to them, the PDP leader said and assured that after being elected he would not leave any stone unturned for the welfare of the Christian community.
Mr Bhasin further said that PDP would enhance widow pension upto Rs 2000 per month to make their both end meet. He said that people of State have faced lot of hardships under the other Governments but Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has a different plan for unemployed and poor people. He said that PDP Government would reduce the electricity bills and water bills as people are not in the position to pay that.
Taking a note of acute rush in Government Medical College & Hospital, Jammu, Daman Bhasin said that to reduce the rush in GMC, PDP Government will raise more good hospital in Jammu. PDP Government will also regularize 13 non-regularized colonies and provide property right to the people, he added.
The gathering was also addressed by Salman Bhatti who asked Mr Bhasin to ensure about the bright future of the Safai Karamcharis.
Others who spoke in the meeting, included Bittu Sandhu, Satish Kumar, Sucha, Sikander, Ashok Kumar, Sanju, Jyoti and Jeeta Kumar.
