JAMMU, Dec 28: In view of the mounting academic pressure and mental stress faced by students during the ongoing Pre-Board examinations, All J&K Tutorials Association, Jammu organized today a walkathon for student wellness at the Tawi River Front (Warehouse side).
More than 150 students from various coaching institutes across Jammu city participated enthusiastically in the event, accompanied by their mentors and faculty members. The initiative aimed to promote mental well-being, physical fitness, and stress relief among students preparing for crucial examinations.
The serene and refreshing surroundings of the Tawi River Front added to the overall positive experience of the participants. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ashok Gupta, president of the Association, who emphasized the importance of maintaining mental health, adopting a balanced routine, and managing academic stress effectively.
As part of the event, students engaged in approximately 40 minutes of jogging, followed by individual performances that showcased their enthusiasm and creativity. The walkathon concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem.
Coaching institutes that took part in the initiative included Dhruv, Allen, Unacademy, Shree, Mastermind, Shardapeeth, Futurz, The Excellence Academy, Achievers, Horizon, ASL, Oracle, and 1st Step, collectively reinforcing the message of student wellness and holistic development.
