Waive-off farmers’ loans: Kissan Sabha

JAMMU, May 17: All India Kissan Sabha today staged a protest demonstration at village Salehar, R.S Pura under the leadership of Rakesh Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion Sharma said that loans of farmers should be waived off and the government should open Kissan Mandies at housing colonies across Jammu and Kashmir for marketing support to marginal farmers.
He said that this will also provide agriculture products at reasonable rates to the city population.
Sharma also demanded that the government should provide pesticides, seeds, fertilizers and equipments to farmers on subsidized rates.
Farmers present on the occasion were Narayan Dutt, Polly, Ashok Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Raj Pal, Chander Bhushan and others.
