VRS Union criticizes transport authorities for delay in dues

JAMMU, Jan 16: VRS Union, under the chairmanship of its president Dev Raj Bali and its general secretary Surinder Singh held a protest demonstration in connection with delay in their dues at Press Club Exhibition ground, here today.
The leaders of the Union strongly criticized J&K Transport authorities and the Finance Department for not releasing the long pending dues of VRS employees.
They said dues of 126 slabs and arrears since 1999 amounting to Rs 30 crores is pending with J&K SRTC, adding despite repeated reminders the concerned authorities hardly pay any heed.
Prominent among others present in the demonstration were Balwinder Singh, J D Singh, Gulshan Singh, D N Sharma, Surjit Singh, Sain Mohd, Kulbir Singh and Sat Bhushan.
