JAMMU, Dec 2: The VRS accorded JKRTC workers deputation called on Advisor to Lt Governor, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and projected their issues.
Led by Dev Raj Bali, president of VRS/GHS Union of JKRTC, the members demanded release of their pending arrears. They alleged that despite many representations, protests and dharnas, the concerned authorities have failed to settle their issues.
They demanded release of COLA arrears from 1999, 6th Pay Commission arrears from Ist Jan 2006, implementation of Corporation benefits, release of DA arrears with effect from Oct 2010.
The Advisor assured to put forth their demands before Lt Governor for final resolution. Meanwhile, the Union decided to suspend its protest programme till December 31, 2019.
