SRINAGAR: Governor N N Vohra today urged film producer and director Subash Ghai to make films that reflect rich culture, heritage and freedom struggle.

A delegation of White Walls Media comprising Mr Ghai and Mr Kumar Amit Sinha, Directors-Corporate Communication; M. Divank Rastogi, one of the Founders Great of Indian Film and Literature Festival (GIFLIF), met the Governor at the Raj Bhavan here.

The delegation apprised the Governor about the projected GIFLIF-Kashmir edition to be held at Srinagar, and sought support for the promotion of theatre, Television, film and literature artists of the Valley.

The Governor assured to take up this matter with the State Government and suggested to the delegation to consider making movies that reflect our rich culture, heritage and struggle for freedom which help to generate awareness about our historical diversity and traditions of tolerance and pluralism.

The Governor also advised the delegation to involve local art, literature, music and folk theatre groups in their endeavour. (AGENCIES)
