RAJOURI, May 11: In order to improve the health facilities in District Hospital Rajouri, Member Legislative Council Advocate Vibodh Gupta has called meeting of all doctors of the hospital and instructed them to help the people and lend a hand in the overall development of the health sector.
Advocate Vibodh Gupta visited District Hospital and took the stock of the overall situation. He also met patients and tried to find out the problems being faced by the patients in this Hospital. Following interaction with patients in wards and emergency, Gupta convened meeting of the officers of Health Department and doctors of District Hospital and seek their suggestions in improving health sector of whole district and particularly of District Hospital where people come with hope of better treatment.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said that there is need of more Physicians and Radiologist in the Hospital besides the Hospital is facing acute shortage and he will take up the issue with Health Minister and try to bring him to Rajouri to the situation of the Hospitals. He said that shortage of doctors will be soon met as he will take this matter on priority as the matter is related to the health of the people.
Seeking support of doctors, Vibodh said that doctors must concentrate more on the hospital duty and there should be no compliant about the private practice. He said that if such complaints came, he will get it investigated and action will be taken against the doctors involved in private practice or negligence of duties. He said that there is need to collectively come forward and help the people. He said that all the matters discussed in the meeting will be take up with higher authorities and their solution will be sorted out.
