Vistara launches special fares starting at Rs 2,129

NEW DELHI, Mar 27: To woo customers amid low occupancy in its flights, Tata-SIA joint venture carrier Vistara today rolled out special 90-day advance purchase fares, starting at Rs 2,129.

Vistara’s offer comes after most of the domestic carriers, mainly the no-frills ones, launching similar discount ticket schemes earlier in the month.

Under the ‘Book Early and Save More’ scheme, the airline which launched its services in January this year has offered the lowest fares on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad sector at Rs 2,129 for a single journey while the maximum fares of Rs 5,529 have been offered for a Delhi-Goa trip.

The fares for Delhi-Guwahati sector would be Rs 4,459 and for the Delhi-Bagdogra flights Rs 4,399, the airline said in a communication to its club members.

Besides, for the New Delhi-Mumbai the fares have been pegged at Rs 3,539 and for Delhi-Hyderabad at Rs 3,699 under the advance purchase scheme.

These routes apart, the airline has announced discount tickets for other sectors also, which it currently operates to or intends to launch flight services.

The latest full-service airline, after state-run Air India and private carrier Jet Airways, Vistara currently operates across five domestic airports — New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa and Hyderabad with a fleet of six Airbus A320s.

As part of its expansion plans, it would launch services to Guwahati, Bagdogra and Pune from next month. (AGENCIES)
