Vishwakarma Sabha demands enhancement of OBC reservation

JAMMU, July 21: Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha has demanded enhancement of reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) from 2 to 27 per cent in J&K State.
In a press conference here today Sabha President, Shashi Verma said that reservation in other States is 27 per cent for OBCs while the same in J&K is just 2 per cent.
He also demanded that chairman and members of State OBC Commission should be from OBC community only. Click here to watch video
He appealed to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu to investigate into the alleged harassment in district Reasi and Jammu where the Tehsildars were allegedly not issuing OBC certificates to the genuine candidates.
R.L Chargotra, Charanjeet Chargotra, Joginder Angotra, Sham Chargotra and others were also present on the occasion.
