JAMMU, Dec 7: The students of Vishwa Bharati Public Higher secondary School Akalpur Morh Jammu, who excelled in “Jammu Dance Icon Session-2” organized by “Dance Revolution Academy in collaboration with ‘Nirvana Academy” and brought laurels by winning trophies in senior, junior and sub junior category.
Total 12 institutions participated in this competition. From Vishwa Bharati School, 80 students participated in this event organized at Polytechnic College, Vikram Chowk Jammu. The students showed their marvelous performances in group dance, solo dance and duet dance.
The winners in Senior Duet category were Harshita Raina and Archana Saini (1st Prize); Senior group category included Anshna Sharma, Sumridhi, Komal, Pranita Koul, Vishali Bhat (1st); Sub-junior group category, Kusum, Komal, Shruti, Janvi and Oase (2nd prize); Junior Category, Bhavishya Saraf, Vanshika Rajput, Palak Manhas, Sneha Chib and Astha (3rd Prize); Senior Solo category A- Khushi Sharma (2nd Prize) and Manat (3rd Prize); Senior Solo Category B – Taniya Sharma and Bhavana (2nd Prize) and Sub-Junior Duet category – Harshula Ganjoo and Shilpa Saini (2nd Prize)
School Principal, Annapurna Koul admired the participants for bringing name and fame to the institution and lauded the efforts of Anuradha, Dance Teacher and Romesh Kalotra, Music Teacher.
