JAMMU, June 1: During a function here today, Home for the Aged & Infirm (Vridh Ashram), Jammu received a specially modified Maruti Suzuki Eco van from Virinder Sethi for the benefit of the elderly residents of the Home.
Understanding the physical challenges faced by many senior citizens, Virinder Sethi ensured that the vehicle was equipped with specially designed automatic hydraulic lifting platform, enabling elderly and physically weak inmates to board and disembark with ease, safety and dignity.
For many residents, even a short journey can be difficult due to age, illness or restricted mobility. This specially designed vehicle will now make travel significantly more comfortable, allowing the inmates to attend medical consultation.
The vehicle was received by Er. Pankaj Gupta, Home president; Dr. Dinesh Gupta, secretary along with Managing Committee Members, Rajinder Singh and Sat Pal Sharma.
The Management of the Home honoured Virinder Sethi with a memento of appreciation and a citation of gratitude as a mark of respect for his thoughtful initiative and generous support.
