JAMMU, Aug 9: Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Virendra Singh has been posted as Principal Director of Income Tax (Investigation) Rajasthan.
Before his transfer ordered by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) recently, Mr Singh remained Principal Director of Income Tax (Investigation) Delhi for quite long time. He has to his credit highest ever cash seizure of over Rs 137 crore by any investigating agency in the country.
He served as Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K Circle from June 2005 to July 2009 before his transfer to Delhi and during his tenure in J&K the Income Tax collection increased remarkably.
