Srinagar, Apr 14: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Lok Sabha candidate from Srinagar Parliamentary seat Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat addressed several public meetings in Central Kashmir’s Khansahib assembly segments here.
While addressing a large gathering at Watred in Khansahib area Dr Muzaffar accused that most of the political leaders in J&K live in VIP culture and they hardly understand the pain of ordinary people (Aam Aadmi). He said that Farooq Abdullah or Omar Abdullah can’t understand the ground realities and problems faced by ordinary Kashmiris who have to move from pillar to post even to get a BPL ration card . He accused National Conference of not undertaking any developmental activity in Budgam especially with regard to providing of pure drinking water.
The residents of many areas in Beerwah tehsil viz Gampora, Banut, Gondipora and its adjoining villages are drinking un-hygienic water in 21st century and on the other hand Government claims that lot of development has taken place in the State. “If there are scores of water supply schemes available in several areas of Budgam can the CM or the PHE Minister tell why they are not operational ? Where has the money gone which was provided for construction of these water filtration plants” he questioned.
” People who live in VIP culture and high security zones, have no concern with Aam Aadmi’s grievances, they can’t understand importance of issues like un-employment, un married girls, damaged transformers, police harassment of youth etc, how can they represent such people ?
Dr Muzaffar lambasted the Government for its failure towards addressing the burning problem of the residents of Gopalpora Alamdar colony residents. “The area has been water logged since last one month and till date not a single top level official from Flood Control Department has visited the place.
