Violence against women

Sir,
Violence in any form is condemnable. But violence against fair sex is considered heinous and totally against the law of morality. Everyday cases of rapes and murders, sexual assaults and other unbecoming activities come to surface through newspapers leave no body unashamed. How disgraceful and humiliating it becomes when honour and dignity of a women is looted in her own street. Surely, such happenings aren’t unlikely to happen where morality, humanity and ethics seem sunk into a deep sea. Whom to blame? It isn’t one factor which causes such unpleasant occurrences, but multiple reasons are engaged for such cultural degradation.
Primarily lassitude in law and order machinery, erosion of moral values, social phenomenon, including parents and the last but not the least, the educational system which miserably fails in cultivating such values, really needed to be fostered in our youngesters who are often found involved in such crimes. If the family, the society, the Govts are unable to establish a good social order, to curb such tendencies, may not be so easy. Deterrent punishments in such cases do shorten the graph of the crimes for sometime but until morality is enriched and the educational system is refined to faster the law of justice and humanity among the society getting rid of such vulgar and animal like behaviour may not be so easy to overcome.
