UDHAMPUR, Jan 23: Locals of village Dubbi Gali, Lower Basnote, Nali Nikka, Bai, Suthwar, Jangal, Pattietc, Kousal Panchyat and Badhota in Teshil Panchari protested against PHE Department for no supply of drinking water and bad condition of water tank.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the PHE Department and claimed that there was no supply of drinking water to them while the water tank was also in bad condition.
This water tank was constructed in 1984 and caters to around 3000 souls. However, now this tank has got totally damaged and not in a condition to feed to the area. “We have already informed the concerned department many times but all in vain, the villagers said adding that they were now dependent on the natural sources of water. However, they added, this water from natural source is mixed with grubby and mud due to which kids and elderly people were getting infected with intestinal problems.
