UDHAMPUR, Aug 1: Up in arms against no supply of power for the last three days, locals of village Majua, Katwalt, Rassain, Katwalt, Puji, Birnoo, Sukala, and adjoining area in Ramnagar Tehsil today protested against Power Development Department .
The protesting villagers alleged that because of poor quality wires and poles in the area, which got damaged, the power supply was snapped with the result that they were suffering. They demanded immediate replacement of poor quality wires and poles for ensuring smooth power supply to the area.
The protest demonstration was addressed by Tajinder Singh, Vijay Kumar, Birender Singh, Ajay Singh and others, who threatened to gherao the PDD office if the power supply is not immediately restored.
