UDHAMPUR, May 31: Aggrieved over no mobile phone connectivity in the area, villagers of Loudhra, Ponara, Baggan, Mang, Khaned, Raichak, Kadwah in Basantgarh Tehsil today protested by holding a demonstration.
The protesting villager raised slogans against telecommunication department and district administration Udhampur for no mobile phone connectivity in Tehsil Basantgarh. They demanded installation of mobile phone towers covering the area of Loudhra, Ponara, Baggan, Mang, Khaned, Raichak, Kadwah etc.
“During the Covid-19, the Government has ordered all the teachers to conduct online classes but in this area has not even mobile phone calling facility,” the villagers said and lamented that the matter was brought into the notice of concerned authorities and the administration but all in vain.
The protesting villagers were led by Ex- Sarpanch Abdul Rashid Wani, Bashir Ahmed Wani, Ex- Panch Sagar Chand, Manohar Lal, Tariq Wani, Mohd Mushtaq, Yasser Hussain Wani, Bodh Raj and Akhter Bhatt.
