UDHAMPUR, Dec 20: Aggrieved over erratic power supply, villagers of Dhrella in Kulwanta and adjoining area protested agents Power Development Department (PDD).
The protesting villagers raised slogans against Power Development Department (PDD) during the demonstration at village Dhrella. They alleged that PDD has failed to ensure regular supply of electricity. Demanding high capacity power transformer in the area, the villagers explained that there was only one transformer to cater to the population of more than one thousand.
The villagers lamented that because of erratic power supply and low voltage, students were unable to use power-backed gadgets like computer, smart phone, tabs etc and thus missing their online classes.
Women and children also took part in the protest demonstration, which was addressed by Sandhoor Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Rajeshwer Singh, Ajeet Kumar, Dev Singh, Gaytari Devi, Naresh Singh, Manjeet Kumar and others.
