UDHAMPUR, July 21: A villager was arrested along with a consignment of 15 kg poppy straw (bukki) in Manwal area of Majalta tehsil today.
A police spokesman said that a police nakka party at Manwal intercepted one Tariq Hussain, son of Farid Ahmed of Duddar Nalla, while moving on foot. During his search, nearly 15 kg `bukki’ was found in his bag. He was arrested and consignment seized. The police arrested a case against him. I/C Police Post Manwal Ashok Sharma was leading the party.
