MENDHAR, July 21: A villager was arrested by police after he allegedly manhandled an Assistant Executive Engineer and a Junior Engineer of R&B in Kalaban area of Mendhar tehsil today.
Reports said during a tiff over an issue of less compensation prepared and damaged caused to fruit trees of the villager- Liaqat Ali, son of Wazir Khan of Kalaban in the road construction by the agency, the victim turned violent and abused and manhandled the engineers who were on inspection.
Identified as AEE Javed Iqbal and JE Mehmood Ahmed, they later reported the matter to police. The police arrested the villager and started investigation.
