UDHAMPUR, Aug 23:  Thousands of inhabitants of village Chore Panjian and adjoining hamlets continue to remain cut off from mainland for the last 10 days as road at village Panjian to Nekain of Panchayat Chore Panjian, tehsil Majalta is blocked because of landslide.
Villagers of Panjian, Nekain, Pandhar, Kotla, Beral and Khuban are suffering because of the landslide and worst condition of 7-kms road stretch, which is only surface link for the area to Tehsil headquarters Majalta.
Four houses and agriculture land were partially damaged and there was considerable danger to houses of Anant Ram, Sansar Singh, Bittu Ram, Uttam Singh who have appealed to the LG administration to pay attention to the poor people.
Alleging no action by the district administration and PMGSY department to repair the road and improve the road condition, locals of village Panjian Nekain and adjoining area also held a protest demonstration today and raised slogans against the district administration and PMGSY.
