Vikramaditya urges LG to accelerate developmental activities in J&K

JAMMU, Dec 27: Ex-MLC Vikramaditya Singh has urged Lieutenant Governor G C Murmu to accelerate development activities in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir by holding a comprehensive investors summit in City of Temples with special focus on boosting up economic activity by means of promoting tourism and other allied key sectors.
In a letter to the LG, Vikramaditya laid stress on making Jammu the most happening place with provision of best healthcare edifice and encouraging business opportunities.
The other aspects discussed in the letter include Tourism (including Pilgrimage and Adventure), Health & Medical (Hospitals, Clinics, Drug Rehabilitation Centres); Sports (Infrastructure and opportunities); Business & Industry (Investment, Employment and SEZ); Renewable Energy (Solar and Hydro) and Agriculture & Horticulture (Exotic Herbs and Spices).
“In the newly formed Union Territory, Jammu region needs to be projected as an area which has both economic potential as well as an investor friendly environment. This initiative will go a long way in boosting confidence in both the stakeholders in the region as well as potential investors,” Singh emphasized.
The former MLC also expressed desire to meet the Lt Governor for discussing the future course of action to steer the J&K Union Territory (with special focus on Jammu) to new heights of peace, progress and prosperity.
