SAMBA, Jan 8: Senior PDP leader Vikramaditya Singh along with Major General Rtd. R S Jamwal today visited Pakistani shelling affected areas of border district of Samba and Kathua. They interacted with the victims at Rajpora, Marien, Chadwal, Chichi mata Samba and inquired about their sufferings and difficulties. Expressing concern and anguish over the unprovoked Pak shelling, Vikramaditya assured the victims that the whole nation is behind them during this crisis.
While regretting the plight of these victims, he appealed the Central Government to provide every facility to these helpless people.
Expressing deep sympathy and condolence to those who have lost their one’s during the continuous firing Vikramaditya Singh demanded that the compensation being paid to these victims be enhanced. He also demanded compensation to those people whose cattle have perished due to this firing.
The PDP leaders later visited the migrant camps and firing hit villages in Hira Nagar Tehsil. Condemning Pakistan for unprovoked firing on civilian population in these border villages Maj Gen Rtd. R S Jamwal said that the Pakistani rulers have lost human values and are targeting peaceful people for their vested interests.
The affected families narrated their miseries and sufferings before the PDP leaders and said that it was not new for them as they have suffered this earlier also but this time the situation is worst. The victims demanded permanent solution for this type of situation so that they can live a peaceful life. The PDP leaders reiterated the demand of allotting plots in safer areas to these border people so that they cannot suffer any more.
Satpal Singh Charak, Suraj Parkash, Advocate Ganga Ram and Sunny Sangral also accompanied the leader during the visit.
