Two inter-State narco smugglers arrested by Railway police

JAMMU, Jan 8: Railway police arrested two inter-State narcotic smugglers along with large quantity of drug injections.
Addressing a press conference, SP Railways Suram Singh said that, on specific information, Railway Police Jammu intercepted two persons on suspicious grounds at Jammu Railway Station.
During checking, police recovered 3880 drug injections from their possession and arrested the accused, SP added.
The accused have been identified as Munish Kumar, son of Jagdish Prasad and Sunil Kumar, son of Mohinder Kumar Verma, both residents of New Delhi, SP Railway stated.
He said that the accused happens to be inter-State narcotic smugglers and they were carrying the consignment from New Delhi to Jammu.
A case under FIR number 1/15 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station GRP Jammu and investigation started.
Police team led by SDPO GRP Jammu and SHO police station GRP Jammu Inspector Neeraj Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SP Railways Suram Singh.
