BHADERWAH, Apr 7: Senior Congress leader and party’s Lok Sabha candidate from Udhampur-Doda-Kathua constituency Vikramaditya Singh today said that the BJP had turned into a den of dictatorial forces accommodating only sycophants with no scope for people with rationale and broad mind.
Speaking at a public meeting in Bhaderwah today, Vikramaditya Singh claimed that the way the party is working is not in the interest of the country. He said that the dictatorial attitude of BJP’s two or three leaders manning the whole affairs of the country without consulting experts of relative fields has put the entire nation into a difficult situation as was felt in the case of demonetization, GST implementation, and for that matter the recent order regarding restrictions on civilian traffic on National Highway in State. In all these cases, Government’s failure in visualizing the outcome of these decisions and the U-turns and alterations which followed exposed the incompetence of those reining the party, he added.
Taking on BJP candidate Jitendra Singh over his remark on Congress campaigners travelling on roads constructed by the BJP, Vikramaditya said that so is the case of democratic legacy gifted to country by Pt Jawaharlal Nehru and other Congress leaders which the BJP is relishing today and at times grossly misusing for petty political gains without thinking about its detrimental effects on the nation.
He said that the irony of the day is that BJP candidate from Bhaderwah by giving one or two link roads and the same number of bridges is expecting accolades of the infinite extent but at the same denies to give credit to Congress party which had ensured that India not only rules the globe but also the outer space with the gigantic step of sending Rakesh Sharma to space on April 2, 1984.
Asking people to remain cautious against BJP’s deceptive slogans, Vikramaditya said that only Congress party has the will and is committed to ensure development of all the three regions of State besides steering the country towards new heights of prosperity. He said people’s vote to Congress will be their nod to make India strong and prosperous.
