Vijay Aima takes over as AIKS chief

New Delhi, May 11:  Vijay Aima took over as the new elected President of the All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) for the term 2015-2018. The election was held on May 10, 2015 at Lal Ded Memorial Convention Centre, KECSS, B-36, Pamposh Enclave, New Delhi. M. K. Kaul, was the Returning Officer.
Bhushan Lal Razdan, former Chief Commissioner, Income Tax and current President Gandhi Memorial College, Jammu was the other contestant.
Mr Aima earlier worked as general secretary and the president of Kashyap Kashmir Sabha Gurgaon. He remained AIKS vice president for six long years in the outgoing Executive Council of AIKS. He is a dedicated and a committed social activist who has contributed immensely to the cause of internally displaced Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir.
His first reaction after taking over as the new President of AIKS was that election to this office has only re-doubled his responsibilities towards the KP community who need institution of AIKS now more than before. He further said that the institutional policies and programmes would continue but added that wherever the changes are needed will be carried out with the changing political scenario.
Professionally, Vijay Aima retired as Chief Engineer in Telecom Sector. Presently  Aima is the vice president Operations in Multinational Retail Sector.
