JAMMU, Apr 10: State Vigilance Organization today produced challan against the Selection Grade Constable of Police Station, Purmandal, who was caught red handed while demanding and accepting bribe.
The challan in case FIR number 20/2015 P/S VOJ, has been produced in the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption , Jammu, against Ibrar Wani, then Sgct Police Station Purmandal, District Samba
The case was registered on 23.04.2015 on the basis of written complaint lodged by one Ram Saroop alleging therein that Ibrar Wani, posted in Police Station Purmandal, demanded an illegal gratification of Rs 10,000/- from him for not implicating the complainant in the FIR case which was registered on 28.03.2015 at P/S Purmandal.
Thereafter a trap was laid and said Sgct was caught red handed while demanding and accepting Rs 10,000/-as illegal gratification from the complainant in presence of the independent witnesses.
