JAMMU, Apr 10: KP Joint Action organized a meeting of its Central Committee and the Advisory Council here today to finalise the action programme for the next six months.
During the meeting ‘Compr-ehensive Political Agenda'(CPA) was launched in a Booklet form by the leaders of the KP Joint Action along with the members of the Advisory Council. The booklet is meant for distribution among the general public so as to create a renewed consciousness regarding the core concerns of the displaced KPs.
The meeting was chaired by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, Chairman, KP Joint Action and was attended among others by senior leaders R.K.Bhat, H.N.Jattu, Virender Raina, A.K.Dewani, Prof. R.L.Kaul, R.K.Raina, Sardar Prem Singh Raina, Vijay Kashkari, Murarji Kaul, Sardar KCS Mehta, Pamposh Kaul, Ajay Safaya, Gokul Dembi, M.K.Jalali, K.L.Bhat, M.K.Raina, Sundari Lal Kaul, J.L.Bamzai, M.N.Pandit, Kiran Jee Dhar, Shadilal Kaul, and Shiban Krishen Kaul.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, in his address stressed upon the need to rope in the younger generations of the community into the struggle in exile. He said that the contents of the booklet will bring the younger generations closer to the ideological contours of the struggle as well as nearer to the day to day livelihood issues. The civilizational issues in the shape of protection of temples in Kashmir and the passage of the Bill regarding the Hindu shrines of Kashmir are very important concerns which the younger generations would ultimately have to carry forward with commitment and dedication.
R.K.Bhat, president, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj expressed optimism that in the days to come the issues related to employment and Valley based package employees would be taken up vigorously with the concerned authorities. All attempts would be made to sensitize the Government about the difficulties faced by the employees at different levels. The selected candidates under the writ petition category would be given due priority in the process of appointment. He demanded that a separate Recruitment Agency be set up for selection process.
H.N.Jattu, said that the KP Joint Action is the most appropriate and timely initiative that has the potential to redefine the nature of the Kashmiri Pandit struggle in exile while A.K.Dewani, said that the KP Joint Action has taken upon itself the onerous task to unite the rank and file of the community on a single platform.
