SRINAGAR, Mar 28: Sleuths of Vigilance Organization Kashmir conducted searches of the residential premises of Anees Ahmad Choudhary and Ab Mateen Baba, the then Executive Officers Municipal Committee, Ganderbal, who are accused of abusing their official positions and illegally issuing building permissions.
The searches were conducted following registration of multiple FIRs on the outcome of Joint Surprise Check (JSC) conducted in to the allegations that Municipal Committee (MC) Ganderbal was engaged in malpractices and allowing huge structures on roads against hefty amounts.
The JSC revealed that huge multi-storeyed buildings/column structures have illegally been erected adjacent to the new Hospital Road Chek-Duderhama Ganderbal. JSC further revealed that the building permissions were issued by the then Executive officers MC Ganerbal Anees Ahmed Choudhary and Ab Mateen Baba who in league with the then field Khilafwarzi Assistants of Ward Duderhama Ganderbal, namely Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Riyaz Ahmad Tantray and Siraj-ud-din Mir, under a well knit conspiracy with the beneficiary owners namely Dr Manzoor Ahmad Tantray and Bashir Ahmad Tantray, sons of Ab Khaliq, Bashir Ahmad Tantray and Manzoor Ahmad Tantray, sons of Ghulam Mohammad and Mehbooba, fraudulently issued the building permission in their favour in violation of BOCA norms/rules on the basis of fake NOC’s and allowed the beneficiary to construct huge complex type structures in violation of approved building permission.
Accordingly four FIR cases, number 07/2018 u/s 5(1) (d) r/w 5(2) J&K PC Act Smvt. 2006 and Section 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC, 08/2018 u/s 5(1)(d) r/w 5(2)J&K PC Act Smvt 2006 & Section 120-B RPC, 09/2018 u/s 5(2) J&K PC Act Smvt. 2006 and Section 120-B RPC and 10/2018 u/s 5(2) J&K P.C Act Smvt. 2006 and Section 120-B RPC, were registered in Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir and the investigation was taken up.
