JAMMU, June 2: Vice-President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar is arriving here for participation in the Jammu University Special Convocation, which is scheduled to be held on June 22, 2023.
This will be his maiden visit to Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory after assuming the office of Vice-President of India.
Official sources told the Excelsior that the Vice-President will reach here along with his wife Sudesh Dhankhar for participation in the scheduled JU Special Convocation where he will be the chief guest.
Dhankhar is likely to extend his J&K visit for more than one day even as official confirmation in this regard was awaited, sources added.
Pertinent to mention that Jammu University is holding its Special Convocation on June 22 wherein 246 Ph D Degrees and 197 Gold Medals will be awarded to the qualified candidates of 2016-17 to 2018-19 batches.
