SRINAGAR, May 5: Dr Tej Pratap, Vice Chancellor, Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Kashmir, called on Governor, N N Vohra, Chancellor of the University, at Raj Bhavan, here today.
Dr Pratap briefed the Governor about preparations underway at SKUAST-K for hosting the 3rd Jammu and Kashmir Agricultural Science Congress which is commencing next week. The Governor also discussed with the VC the ongoing research projects in the University for livestock development, establishment of the new Krishi Vigyan Kendras which have been sanctioned by the Government of India and ensuring that the existing KVKs perform a definite role in enhancing agricultural production and productivity in the State. The VC informed the Governor about the status of the ongoing admission process and issues relating to providing the required faculty strength for the Academic Session 2014-15.
