RAJOURI, Mar 28: Prof Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri, released the admission prospectus of the University for the forthcoming academic session.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Akbar said that the admission to various postgraduate and undergraduate programs offered by the University will be based on the merit of the applicants obtained in CUET ( PG ) -24 and CUET ( UG ) -24 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). However, the admission to unfilled seats if any will be made through the routine admission process of the university, he added.
The Vice-Chancellor said that over the years, BGSBU has become a much sought-after destination for students not only from the various regions of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir but from various parts of the country as well. Prof Akbar hoped that this year as well the University will receive a good response from the students across the country.
On the occasion, Prof Akbar said that the University has recently received FIFA certification for the newly developed football turf which will act as catalyst for the sporting culture in the region. He also mentioned that the University has adopted the latest categories structure in its admission process as notified by the Govt of Jammu and Kashmir.
Those who were present on the occasion included Associate Dean Academic Affairs, Registrar, Deans of various schools, Principal SoET and Deputy Registrar Academic Affairs.
