Vibodh, FFMA pay tributes to Chandrashekhar Azad

JAMMU, Feb 27: Freedom Fighters Memorial Association (FFMA) J&K in association with Bharat Raksha Manch paid floral tributes to the valiant freedom fighter, Chandrashekhar Azad, on his death anniversary. BJP senior leader and former MLC Vibodh Gupta also joined them in paying tribute to Azad.
Tributes were also paid to HC Rattan Lal and IB officer Ankit Sharma, who got martyrdom during recent Delhi riots.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta recited Azad’s famous proclamation, ‘Dushman Ki Goliyon Ka Saamna Hum Karenge, Azad Hi Rahe Hain, Aur Azad Hi Rahenge’. He said, “Azad shook the British empire when he was just sixteen by revealing his name as ‘Azad’, his father’s name ‘Swatantrata’ and his residence as the prison cell.” He further said that Azad’s passion for freedom inspired youth.
Showing his concern over the communal riots in Delhi, Gupta said that cold blooded murder of martyred policeman HC Ratan Lal and IB officer Ankit Sharma by anti-CAA protesters is not tolerable. He also extended his support and sympathy to all the victims and their families.
Vibodh also lauded the efforts of freedom fighter memorial association J&K for keeping the legacy of India’s freedom fighter alive and inspiring the youth from the life and struggle of these revolutionaries. The tribute ceremony was held at Dogra Shaurya Sathal. Vibodh also highlighted the need for further developing this ‘Sathal’ as it is the symbol of Dogra legacy and promised to bring the same in the notice of LG administration.
FFMA J&K president Ravi Chander Puri also spoke on the life and personality of Chandrashekhar Azad. President Bharat Raksha Manch, Dr YP Padha was also present on the occasion.
FFMA Chairman Vaid Gandotra, Vice Chairman Rajiv Mahajan, Dr RP Sharma, Prof SS Bhalwal, Karnail Chand and many others were also present on the occasion.
