JAMMU, May 31: VHP today expressed concern over the influx of Mymnaris and Bangladeshis and capturing of Government and private land by them in Jammu city and its outskirts.
Expressing concern over increasing influx of the people from these countries in Jammu region, VHP state president Dr Rama Kant Dubey told reporters here today that this is a part of big conspiracy to change the demography of Jammu region.
He also questioned the logic behind providing land to these people by declaring them refugees and said that VHP suspects a foul play in it. There is no logic for these refugees to visit thousands of kilomteres to this place for shelter and in the event of any disturbance in any nation, the refugees take shelter in the neighborhood and not visit such a far distance, he added.
Expressing concern over the stoic silence maintained by the Government on the issue, he said hundreds kanals of land has been occupied by these refugees while the Jammu is already grappling with the problem of West Pak refugees, PoK refugees and migrants from Kashmir.
He said why these people took refuge in Jammu particularly and why not in Kashmir or other parts of country. Smelling a rat in the settlement of these refugees in Jammu, he said there is every apprehension that they may fall in trap of anti national elements and indulge in militancy or other type of crimes to disturb peace in Jammu.
Dr Dubey demanded that these people be immediately deported from Jammu and the state land and private land grabbed illegally be freed from the possession of encroachers.
