BHADERWAH, Aug 24: Demanding immediate identification and arrest of the miscreants who had reportedly fiddled with religious symbols and stolen some property from high altitude lake of sacred Kailash Kund, Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) and RSS held a protest demonstration against local police and administration here today.
The protesters belonging to VHP and RSS after holding a meeting at Lakshmi Narayan temple came out in main market and started raising slogans against police and administration for their alleged casual attitude to nab the miscreants, who according to the protesters fiddled with the sacred symbols of Sanatan Dharam every year to instigate the sentiments of Hindu community.
The protest started from Vasak Dera and after passing through Ganpat market, Jaie road and Seri Bazaar, culminated at Lakshmi Narayan Chowk, where they held a demonstration, while leaders of VHP and RSS addressed the protesters asking all the Hindus to stand united and if compelled further they should not shy away from using brutal force against the non-Hindu miscreants.
“Administration is testing our patience as they have failed completely to take any action against the miscreants and goons who have been continuously hurting our sentiments by damaging and desecration of our religious property at sacred Kailash Kund”, said Satish Kotwal, President, VHP Bhaderwah.
“We are giving a seven days ultimatum to the police to nab the miscreants, otherwise we will be compelled to launch State wide protest”, Kotwal added.
VHP State Vice President also addressed that gathering.
Later, all the protesters went to Lakshmi Narayan temple to discuss the further course of action.
Meanwhile, tight security arrangements were made in Bhaderwah town to thwart any untoward incident.
It is notable to mention here that during the recently concluded Kailash Yatra, it was reported that 150 blankets meant for yatries were stolen from the yatri shed near sacred Kailash Kund lake and also some miscreants fiddled with the idols and property of Sanatan Dharam there.
